Abstract

Entrepreneurship involves how people work together with their environment for mutual gain. It's a vital aspect of a successful economy. Emerging economies are seeing both men and women showcasing their entrepreneurial skills, but there's a noticeable imbalance. Traditionally, men have been more involved in running businesses and taking risks. However, Muslim women's attitudes and intentions toward business seem to be changing. This study develops a framework to explore Muslim women's intentions to become entrepreneurs, considering social valuation, entrepreneurial capacity, and professional attraction. The study found that Muslim women are keen on owning and managing their businesses. Interestingly, while factors like entrepreneurial capacity and professional attraction strongly support their entrepreneurial goals, social valuation doesn't seem to play a significant role, a surprising discovery.
