Analysis of Students’ Difficulties in Comprehending Meaning of Phrasal Verb Used in Creative Writing in English

This survey research aims to uncover the challenges faced by L2 learners at the secondary level, particularly focusing on their difficulties in comprehending the meaning of phrasal verbs in English creative writing. The study seeks to identify these obstacles and propose new teaching methods and techniques to overcome them effectively. By analyzing data collected from 95 students across ten selected secondary schools in District Bahawalpur, the research sheds light on the nature of these difficulties and offers recommendations for educators to enhance their teaching approaches. Chapter 1 introduces the background, problem statement, and objectives of the research. Chapter 2 delves into a review of relevant literature, including discussions on individual differences and theoretical frameworks. Chapter 3 outlines the research methodology, including population, sampling, and data collection procedures. Chapter 4 presents the data analysis, while Chapter 5 offers findings, discussions, and conclusions. Overall, this study contributes to understanding and addressing the challenges students face in comprehending phrasal verbs in creative writing, emphasizing the importance of adaptive teaching techniques and ongoing teacher training to meet students' needs effectively.
